Dia De Los Muertos / Cancun, Mexico

It’s not everyday that photographing a wedding gives you the chance to tick a long-awaited item off your bucket list. But Chris and Alanna’s wedding in Cancun last week did just that.
Arriving on 1 November, our trip coincided with the Day of the Dead Festival – or more locally known as ‘Dia De Los Muertos’. The festival is a three day Mexican holiday where loved ones who have passed away are remembered and honoured through various celebrations; costumes, dances, parades and altars brimming with food and drink favoured by the deceased.
After a little Googling and and asking around, I found Parque Las Palapas as the best option in our area, so a few of us headed out into the town for a night of culture. And what an epic night it was! Just check out some of what we saw…
